直接経口抗凝固薬（DOAC）は4種類処方可能ですが、本研究ではDPCによる大規模データベースを用いることで、上部消化管内視鏡的粘膜下層剥離術（ESD）後の出血と脳卒中の観点から最適なDOACを絞り込み、リバーロキサバンが最適なDOACであることが明らかになりました。医療管理学分野の桵澤先生、藤森教授に御礼申し上げます。（八田）
